Children's classes for 12-15 year olds are open to players of all levels. There is a strong focus on core physical fitness, strength & conditioning training together with sound technical knowledge. For advanced players and competition athletes tuition is broadened to include combinations, counters, gripping, timing, transition and tactics.
Technical tuition is based on the National Grading Syllabus of Judo Australia and grade testing is conducted on a regular basis to allow children to measure their progress.
Students are encouraged to enter competition at the appropriate level to assist with their development. This class offers a pathway to national level competition for interested athletes.
Class sizes generally range from 10 to 20 students with 2 to 4 instructors.
Activities include technical tuition for beginners up to high level competition players. Regular strength & conditioning training. Students are expected to apply themselves and strive for improvement.
Class Check List
Students should bring a water bottle to class and ensure they have been to the toilet before class starts.
All accessories such as jewelry and watches must be removed for training.
Finger & toe nails should be short and girls should tie long hair up.
Students are free to attend any or all of the classes each week and pay on a casual or monthly basis.
